Join IoTBelfast and Digital Catapult for an evening exploring security and trustworthiness across connected systems. Taking place as part of Belfast Tech Week, the meetup will examine how organisations can collect, share and use IoT data while maintaining privacy, security, identity and trust. Tim Wood from Digital Catapult will present Privacy Enhancing Technologies for IoT, exploring how Federated Learning and Multi-Party Computation can help organisations gain insights from distributed data without exposing the underlying information. Keerthi Thomas from Digital Catapult will present Enabling Know Your Assets/Agents (KYA) in Trusted Networks, exploring digital identity for IoT devices and autonomous agents, secure peer-to-peer connections, data provenance, decentralised access control and policies for increasingly agentic systems. A third speaker from Northern Ireland’s IoT ecosystem will be announced shortly. The evening will include three practical 15-minute talks, audience Q&A, pizza, refreshments and informal networking for engineers, developers, researchers, students and technology professionals.
