Belfast Tech Week returns from 21-25 September 2026, bringing together the city's technology community for a week of events, meetups, workshops, discussions and social gatherings.

The programme for Belfast Tech Week 2026 is now live, with 40+ events already confirmed and further events set to be added in the run-up to the week.

Taking place across Belfast from 21-25 September, Belfast Tech Week is a city-wide “unconference”, with events independently organised by companies, founders, community groups and organisations from across Northern Ireland's technology ecosystem.

Now in its third year, Belfast Tech Week has grown from 40 events in its inaugural year in 2024 to 53 events in 2025, with organisers expecting more than 60 events and over 3,000 attendees across the 2026 programme.

This year's programme spans AI, data, cybersecurity, engineering, digital transformation, fintech, skills, entrepreneurship and more, alongside networking, community and social events taking place throughout the city.

Among the events already confirmed is the Data & AI Meetup hosted by MCS Group, while one of the centrepieces of the week will be the NI Tech Awards, which return to recognise and celebrate the people, companies and organisations helping to shape Northern Ireland's technology sector.

At the heart of Belfast Tech Week is the idea that the whole city is the venue. Rather than centring the week around a single conference centre, events are hosted independently in workplaces, venues and spaces across Belfast, giving attendees the opportunity to build their own programme and experience different parts of the local tech ecosystem.

“When we launched Belfast Tech Week in 2024, the idea was really simple: create something that the whole tech community could be part of and give everyone an opportunity to get involved. Three years later, that principle is still at the heart of it. The programme is created by the community itself, and this year's schedule really shows the breadth of what is happening across Belfast. We've got everything from AI, cyber and engineering through to startups, skills, community events and socials. People can come to one event or spend the entire week moving around the city. That's what Belfast Tech Week is all about.”

MCS Group returns as a Major Partner of Belfast Tech Week for 2026 and will also serve as Headline Sponsor of the NI Tech Awards.

Taking place as part of Belfast Tech Week, the NI Tech Awards bring the technology community together to celebrate the founders, teams, innovators and organisations making an impact across Northern Ireland's technology ecosystem.

Alongside its support for the wider week and the NI Tech Awards, MCS Group will also host events as part of the programme, including its Data & AI Meetup and Women in Tech Roundtable, creating further opportunities for the local tech community to connect and share ideas.

“Belfast Tech Week has quickly become a brilliant showcase for the strength and diversity of the technology community we have here in Northern Ireland, and we're delighted to be a Major Partner again in 2026. What makes the week particularly exciting is the mix of people and organisations involved. It creates opportunities for the community to meet, exchange ideas and build relationships in a way that feels genuinely open and accessible. We're also incredibly proud to be Headline Sponsor of the NI Tech Awards. There are fantastic people and companies doing great things across our technology sector, and the awards give us an opportunity to recognise and celebrate those achievements together.”

The Belfast Tech Week website has also been redesigned for 2026 to make it easier for attendees to navigate the growing programme. Visitors can explore events by day, location, theme, audience and format, and create their own shortlist of events to attend across the week.

Further events will continue to be added ahead of September.
